The jaborandi plant, the species yielding the Pilocarpus of the U. S. Ph., 1880; probably identical with Pilocarpus selloanus; a shrub of tropical and subtropical Brazil. The bark, as well as the leaves, contains Pilocarpus and is used as a sudorific and sialagogue.
