Made, according to the Codex of Paris, by mixing and heating to redness arsenious acid and nitrate of soda; dissolving the salt in water; adding carbonate of soda until there is an alcaline reaction; filtering, evaporating, and crystallizing. It is the basis of Pearson's Solution, which is formed of one grain of the crystallized arseniate to one fluidounce of distilled water. Dose, gtt. xx.
