An epithet given to parts connected with the ischium. The Sciatic Notches, are formed by this bone; the Ischiatic Spine belongs to it, and gives attachment to the small sacro-sciatic ligament. The Tuberosity of the Ischium, is formed by it. It receives the insertions of different muscles of the thigh, and forms the projection on which the body rests when seated.
